1. Agreement to Terms

By installing or using MetaMaintain (“the Application,” “our App,” or “the Service”) provided by Sizzle Central Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

MetaMaintain is a Shopify application developed by Sizzle Central Inc. that enables merchants to analyze, create, and synchronize metafield and metaobject definitions and entries across connected Shopify stores. The Service integrates with your Shopify store via Shopify's APIs to read and write metadata on your behalf.

3. Account Requirements

To use MetaMaintain, you must:

  • Have a valid Shopify store
  • Be authorized to install applications on behalf of the store
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction

4. Plans and Payment

Free Plan

MetaMaintain can be installed and used free of charge to connect as a destination store — you can receive and analyze definitions and sync entries from a linked source store at no cost.

Paid Plan

Acting as a source store — the store that initiates syncs to destination stores — requires a paid subscription of $12 USD per month or $95USD per year. Billing is processed through Shopify's billing system and will appear on your Shopify invoice.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Shopify admin panel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Downgrading to the free plan removes source store capabilities.

5. Use of Service

Permitted Use

You may use MetaMaintain to:

  • Analyze metafield and metaobject definitions across connected stores
  • Create missing definitions in destination stores
  • Sync metaobject entries between connected stores
  • Link and manage relationships between your Shopify stores

Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to bypass any security measures
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service
  • Use the Service to access stores you are not authorized to manage

6. Data and Sync Operations

Important Information

Sync operations write data to your destination store.Creating definitions and syncing entries modifies your destination store's data. Always verify the analysis results and intended changes before confirming any sync operation. We recommend testing on a development store before syncing to production.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing analysis results before creating or syncing definitions
  • Ensuring the correct source and destination stores are selected
  • Any consequences resulting from sync operations performed through the Service
  • Maintaining appropriate backups of your store data

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sizzle Central Inc. specifically disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Sync operations will succeed in all cases or with all Shopify configurations
  • All metafield types and owner types will be supported in all Shopify plan tiers

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Sizzle Central Inc., its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

We are specifically not liable for:

  • Data inconsistencies resulting from sync operations
  • Theme or storefront issues caused by definition or entry changes
  • Loss of data in destination stores
  • Any consequences of syncing incorrect definitions or entries

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sizzle Central Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any data you sync or modify through the Service

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sizzle Central Inc. and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.

11. API and Third-Party Services

MetaMaintain relies on Shopify's APIs and infrastructure. We are not responsible for any changes, limitations, or discontinuation of Shopify services that may affect our application's functionality. Shopify API rate limits, permission changes, or plan restrictions may affect what data the Service can access or modify.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the application. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Data Handling and Compliance

Our application implements mandatory Shopify compliance webhooks to handle data protection requests in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

Automatic Data Deletion

When you uninstall our app, we automatically:

  • Cancel any active subscriptions
  • Delete all stored shop session data
  • Remove all store link relationships and sync mappings associated with your shop
  • Mark your shop as inactive in our system

Data Subject Requests

We respond to mandatory compliance webhooks for:

  • Customer data access requests
  • Customer data deletion/redaction requests
  • Complete shop data deletion requests

All data deletion requests are processed within required regulatory timeframes, typically completing within 48 hours.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Upon your request

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ontario, Canada.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Sizzle Central Inc. regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
